Sunday Walking Street, Chiang Mai |
| |
A more chilled out shopping experience than the Night Bazaar, Chiang Mai's Sunday Walking Street has become more and more popular with Thais and tourists alike. Stretching from Tha Pae Gate square and along most of Ratchadamnoen street, the area is blocked off to traffic from late Sunday afternoon to midnight. The whole of Ratchadamnoen street, and the wats along its length, are filled with colourful stalls selling wares ranging from hill-tribe crafts and blinking lights, to wooden bangles and tasty morsels. There is a great atmosphere helped along by buskers playing down the street. When tired of the shopping, it is fun to sit at one of the bars or restaurants along the strip and watch the hubbub go by. |

PATARA FARM |
|
| |
If you are in Chiang mai and really need a special experience for a day to fulfill your life. We recommend you spending quality time with some amazing animals “elephants” at PATARA FARM.
Spending a full day with elephants at Patara is something well worth. In here, you will have an opportunity to work closely with elephants as elephant owners. Only small group are taken out per trip to make sure all of the trainers will make the day special from the moment you reach. The trek takes you through the jungle, down a steep mountainside to a beautiful waterfall. You will ride bareback and see how elephants are huge but nimble while hiking. You will have such a great time and are looked after very well along the trip. It would be fine for kids too.
I did have great experience spending time here with my own elephant. I had the opportunity to spend a day learning how to care for them and to ride them. After that, the trainers let me fed, checked, and bathed my elephant. Also, I had the opportunity to swim with my elephant too. I also had a wonderful lunch (traditional Thai food) while watching elephants play.
Don’t miss “the special trip for 1 day” with Patara farm. You will never forget how lovely and intelligent these animals are.
Tips: Elephant have coarse hair on the top of their heads; you might feel irritating while riding bareback.
No camera required, don’t worry about taking pictures during the trip. It will be done for you and you will get all of them when the trip is finished.
Be sure to book well ahead of time, they fill up quickly. |
